Weeds are a major problem in Australian cotton farming systems. Integrated weed management (IWM) seeks to deal with these issues by combining a number of different approaches to achieve sustainable, cost effective and environmentally sensitive weed management.

WEEDpak has been designed to provide growers, agronomists, consultants and others with information on IWM, why IWM is so important and the tools that are available to implement an IWM strategy.

WEEDpak was originally published in 2013.

In 2019 components of WEEDpak were updated and a series of CottonInfo fact sheets were also developed as part of Graham Charles's CRDC-supported PhD study: Developing the weed control threshold. The updated elements and facts sheets can be accessed here.

WEEDpak also contains three tools: the Weed ID guide, the Seedling ID guide, and the Herbicide Damage ID guide.
